CHURCHILL DOWNS SELECTIONS FOR JUNE 18, 2020:

RACE 6:

#7 ACRE (VALUE PLAY OF THE DAY) MORNING LINE ODDS 6/1

I been waiting and waiting for this one to finally get on the Turf. Now this 3 year old by Blame will finally get his chance. Mott has entered him on the grass before but it was rained out. His dam Greenery is by the great sire Galileo, who was a great champion in GB.

#5 LETMENO is a horse here that must be respected for the combination of Leparoux and Wilkes, who win 27% of the time.

RACE 7:

#4 SELF TAUGHT gets the Blinkers added on today and making a big time class drop. Stall wins 20% of the time when a horse is making their 2nd start off a layoff. Stall and Tyler have teamed up to win 40% of their races at Churchill with a $5.60 ROI in last year.

#5 JOHNNY CAB just made a winning start in the 20k claiming tag last time out, and now gets the trainer switch to Sharp. Sharp has a $2.51 ROI with horses making their 2nd start off a long layoff. Sharp and Hernandez have a $4.62 ROI at churchill downs since 2019.

RACE 8:

#1 GET THE PRIZE is now making 2nd start off a year layoff and will be much more fit in this start than his previous one. Will relish the added 1/2 furlong and will be tough to hold off.

#2 FATHER G is making first start for Drury in the 2020 campaign. Drury off a layoff from 61-180 days wins 30% of those starts with a $2.11 ROI. Drury/Hernandez combo has $3.76 ROI at Churchill.

#3 TANK COMMANDER is one to play for 2nd and 3rd in your exotic bets. This 5 year old by War Front will need a start before he can be considered for the win, but has the talent to hit the board here.

RACE 9:

#1 VANBRUGH is making his first start for Brad Cox in North America, and Cox wins 50% of the time with horses like this for an amazing $4.80 ROI. When Cox makes the first start with a horse, overall, he wins 25% of the time. This horse has been training great leading up to today.

#6 EXTRAORDINARY JERRY is a live longshot today. This one making first start for Amoss, who wins 15% of those races. when Amoss takes a horse from dirt to turf, he wins 22% of those starts. Thomas Amoss and Graham have won 24% of their races at Churchill together with a $2.75 ROI
